.........1867 Birth of George and Christiana's Daughter Christiana Jessie
Above is Christiana Musgrove's Birth Certificate. You can see Chrissie was born two years before George Musgrove and his cousin Christiana Musgrove were married in 1869. As the baby was illigitmate it's strange that both George and Christiana gave misleading surnames. Christiana had never been an Aitchison although her mother's maiden name was Aitchison. George's full name is George John Aitchison Musgrove but he used his original surname of Aitchison.
Below are two Rate Book extracts for Princes Street. The first is dated October 1864 and shows Margaret Aitchison has taken over the responsibility of 5 Princes Street following the death of her father Gorge Aitchison in October. The second entry is dated October 1867 and shows the property at 5 Princes Street is now being changed to 102 Whitfield Street which is its present day name. Henry Cole is now shown as the Rate payer at this address.
